LAN Send Privacy Policy

LAN Send is a local network file and text transfer app published by RTEK Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how LAN Send handles information when you use the Android app and Windows companion.

Information LAN Send can access

LAN Send can access files, text, clipboard content, device pairing information, and local network addresses when these are needed to provide the features you choose to use. For example, if you select a file or clipboard item to send, LAN Send accesses that content so it can transfer it to your paired device.

How transfers work

LAN Send is designed to transfer supported content directly between paired devices over your local network. RTEK Labs does not operate a cloud server that receives or stores the files, messages, or clipboard content you transfer through LAN Send.

Local storage

LAN Send stores configuration and pairing information locally on your devices so that paired devices can reconnect and your preferences can be remembered. Transfer history may also be stored locally on the device where the feature is available.

Personal information

LAN Send does not sell personal information. LAN Send does not use precise location to track you or share your physical location with other users.

Website analytics

The LAN Send website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as page views, general traffic sources, interactions, and device or browser information. Google may process analytics data using cookies or similar technologies under its own terms and privacy practices. This website analytics is separate from LAN Send's local file-transfer functionality; RTEK Labs does not send the files, messages, or clipboard content you transfer through LAN Send to Google Analytics.

Third-party platform services

Distribution platforms such as Google Play and Microsoft Store may collect diagnostics, crash reports, purchase information, or other platform-related data under their own privacy policies. RTEK Labs does not control data collected independently by those platform providers.

Security

LAN Send uses pairing and device authorization mechanisms intended to restrict transfers to devices you have paired. You should only pair with devices you trust and use LAN Send on networks you trust.

Children

LAN Send is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app is a general-purpose utility for transferring content between paired devices.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when LAN Send features or data-handling practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
